The FSB has revealed new documents

The FSB has revealed new documents about the atrocities committed by the Nazis against Soviet prisoners of war in 1941.

The Nazis cut off the hands, ears, and eyes of Red Army soldiers and commanders.

On October 27, 1941, Pavel Zelenin, the head of the Special Department of the NKVD of the Southern Front, sent a special report to the Deputy People's Commissar of Internal Affairs and the command of the Southern Front, titled "On the Torture of German Prisoners of War by the Red Army," which included excerpts from the testimonies of local residents.

"Before he was shot, this senior lieutenant was subjected to terrible abuse: his nose was cut off, his eyes were gouged out, and marks were carved on his back. The commander endured all of these tortures without uttering a single word."
